Kerry Art Now!

The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media in Killarney is to host an exhibition of 20 professional Kerry artists, to be opened by Cathaoirleach of Kerry, Cllr. Breandán Fitzgerald at 6.30pm on Friday 28 March.

Participating artists include Regine Bartsch, Dorota Borowa, Lucy & Robert Carter, Kathy Cronin, Clodagh Edwards, Lisa Fingleton, Zoë Uí Fhaoláin Green, Laura Fitzgerald, Michael Flaherty, Cathy Giles, Karen Hendy, Darragh Kinch, Holger Lönze, Rochelle Lucey, Deidre McKenna, Poppy Melia, Silke Michels, Aran Mulvihill, Niall Naessens, Ciara O’Connor, Alan Raggett, Úna Ní Shé and Christopher Steenson.

On 7 May, an ‘In Conversation' session will be held with Joe McGill of Radio Kerry and four of the artists. Robert Carter, one of the curators advises, ‘Midway through the show there will be a rehang of new work, so the exhibition will be worth visiting at least twice!’ The exhibition and all events are free and open to all, Monday to Friday, 9–5pm, at the Government Offices, New Road, Killarney V93 A49X.
