Kerry Art Now!

The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media in Killarney is hosting an exhibition of 20 professional Kerry artists, an occasion warmly welcomed by the Cathaoirleach of Kerry, Cllr. Breandán Fitzgerald during his opening remarks on 28 March.

Participating artists include Regine Bartsch, Dorota Borowa, Lucy & Robert Carter, Kathy Cronin, Clodagh Edwards, Lisa Fingleton, Zoë Green, Laura Fitzgerald, Michael Flaherty, Cathy Giles, Karen Hendy, Darragh Kinch, Holger Lönze, Rochelle Lucey, Deidre McKenna, Poppy Melia, Silke Michels, Aran Mulvihill, Niall Naessens, Ciara O’Connor, Alan Raggett, Úna Ní Shé and Christopher Steenson.

On 7 May an ‘In Conversation' session was held with Joe McGill of Radio Kerry and four of the artists: Lisa Fingleton, Christopher Steenson, Rochelle Lucey and Robert Carter. The conversation will be broadcast in the near future; details to be announced soon. Robert, also one of the curators, advises, ‘There has now been a rehang of new work from all the artists, so the exhibition is well worth visiting again!’ The exhibition is free and open to all, Monday to Friday, 9–5pm, at the Government Offices, New Road, Killarney V93 A49X.
